Roberto Mosquera was born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1971. He studied Fine Arts and Sculpture at The Cristobal Rojas School of Visual Arts before moving to New York City in1994 to attend The Art Students League of NY. Institution that awarded him the Reginald Marsh Merit Scholarship Award in 1995. He also received a Fellowship to the Vermont Studio Center in 1996.
In the 1990s and 2000's he participated in a series of solo and collective exhibitions in Galleries, Museums and international Art Fairs across the US, Spain and Venezuela.,
Since 2010 to the present, the artist has been a Consultant, Curator and Director of Private Galleries, Museums in NYC and CA including AFA Gallery and MOMA in NYC.
His Artworks are part of the collection of The Museum of Contemporary Art of Caracas, were he is also a co-founder of the Museum's Multimedia Wing. The CELARG (Center for Latin America and Caribbean Studies. The National Art Galley of Venezuela and The Vermont Studio Center in the U.S.
His most recent solo exhibition was in 2024 was at the Díaz-Mancini Gallery in Caracas, Venezuela.
